With building a website through WordPress, there are a few disadvantages. For instance, suppose even with all of the features WordPress has to offer, you’re still unsure of how to use them to your advantage.

What is Elementor?

Elementor is a plugin that can be accessed by installing it on your PC or laptop device. Once installed, you can add the plugin to your WordPress site. Elementor works by providing users the tools necessary to successfully build web pages.

While it’s fully possible to build a website solely by using WordPress, there’s a certain point at which you may require extra help.

That help is for building engaging web pages that are both visually pleasing and full of organized content. This is the area of web development where many people struggle.

Not only is gathering the content for your website a big task but tying all of those elements together along with the visual aspects of a website is hard to do over many single-clicking motions.

You still have to click on things if you use Elementor, but wait for it . . . you get to click, drag, and drop! That’s right, Elementor allows you to do multiple things all in one drag and drop motion.

With this main feature, building a WordPress site doesn’t have to be hard, and best of all, it can be done easily.

“Elementor is the leading website builder platform for professionals on WordPress. Elementor serves web professionals including developers, designers, and marketers and boasts a new website created every 10 seconds on its platform.”

It is was founded in and continues to be based out of its headquarters in Israel.

Since it was first founded, Elementor has grown tremendously and to date has played a role in the development of over 5 million websites.

Choosing a Domain Name and Web Host Service

In order to use Elementor, you must first complete the basic building blocks necessary to create a website. They are as follows:

  1. Choose a website domain
  2. Select a web hosting service

Choosing a domain name for your website is the best place to start. This is how web users will identify your website. The domain is also where web users or visitors will be able to access your website.

If you’re sure what a domain name is, think of the first links that pop up when you search or Google someone’s name or better yet, the name of whatever you are looking for.

A domain name is simply the name after the “www” of a website URL and includes the .COM, .ORG, .EDU, etc.

If you plan on creating a personal website, consider using your name so that visitors will easily be able to find your website by simply searching your name.

If you’re creating a business website, then your business name would be an appropriate fit for your domain. Furthermore, the ending of the domain name must be chosen as well.

The “.COM” ending of a domain name is the most common and popular choice for those building a new website.

WordPress gives you the option to create a free domain or you can choose to purchase a domain name. Purchasing the domain is your best option though.

That guarantees that no other website can be created under that same domain. If the domain name you choose is not available, change the name or opt for .NET to use as the end of it.

A web hosting service is a service that offers to host your website and keep track of all website-related data. Once you have your domain name, you can utilize a web hosting service in addition to the WordPress platform.

There are several plans you can choose from depending on your budget and website development needs.

Adding the Plugin Elementor to Your WordPress Page

In order to use Elementor, you must first have a working installation of WordPress. WordPress can be accessed either at WordPress.com or WordPress.org.

Many people aren’t aware that yes, there are two different WordPress sites. They are often used interchangeably, as one is often confused for another.

It’s recommended to use WordPress.com because more services are offered and you are free to create a website under your own control and not through a third-party service.

Ultimately, you are free to decide which to use but to understand the difference between the two, visit here for a full graph of what’s offered by each one.

As mentioned before, the Elementor plugin can be installed directly from the platform’s website or through the plugin option offered on WordPress.

This can be accessed by going to your WordPress dashboard, scroll down to the Plugins option, and selecting the Add New popup menu.

Afterward, Elementor should begin downloading and you can begin using it.

Elementor is available in free and pro versions. With the Elementor Free, you have access to features such as the drag and drop builder unique to Elementor as well as 30 basic widgets to add to your website.

With Elementor Pro you have access to over 50 features including 50 advanced widgets, an industry-leading theme builder, and a popup builder to name a few.

The Elementor Pro plans range from $49 to $199 a year. For more information about these plans, visit here.
